20 February 2024

It was a select but sold out crowd that saw a great show from Emily Wurramara at the Railway Club in Darwin earlier tonight.

We were all happy to see her back on stage in Darwin on a hot February night.

Emily was ably supported by local duo Reverie at what for mine is the best (small) live gig in Darwin— The Darwin Railway Club.

While you won’t be able to catch Emily in Darwin any time soon—but look out for her on the summer festival circuit—also keep your eye out for Reverie around the traps—they’ll reward the price of admission and much more.

Here are some pics from earlier tonight at The Darwin Railway Club.

Emily Wurramara and her band at The Darwin Railway Club

Emily has a (deadly) serious side to her. And you’d better listen up good.

But she tells a great yarn, can crack a good joke like the best and has an infectious laugh. She also crosses her toes … for good luck?

And a voice that lets rip …

And backs off for the quiet bits.

Also on the bill was local Darwin Battle of The Bands winner Reverie – here singer Sarah belts out a tune.

Sarah is a great singer and Kesh the guitar player backs up with good talk and mean licks on her acoustic.

Kesh also does good “guitar-player grimace” …
